Want to donate your bike?
Bike recycling is back in 2026.
Any time: email us!
We’re working on our next major collection event, but until then you can always email us to arrange pickup or drop-off of your old ride.
Drive-Thru: Saturday 3/22, 9 AM-12 PM
We’re excited to partner with The Woodlands Township for their annual 3R Recycling Drive Thru event. Learn more about this amazing annual recycling event on The Township website here.
Can’t make it to the event? Need help transporting your donation?
Email us at info@bikethewoodlands.org and we can help arrange transportation to help get your bike on its journey to its next rider.
If your old bike is ready for a new rider:
Several local resale shops will accept donations of bicycles in good condition. We recommend the Interfaith Hand-Me-Up Shop and Something Special (part of the Montgomery County Women’s Shelter).
If your bike needs a small tune-up:
There are several local bike shops that do great work tuning up bikes with repairs big and small. We also recommend the Bike Minded Guru, a local bike mechanic who does house calls. Check out our Friends page to find links to great local vendors and shops.
If your bike needs a major makeover:
Bike The Woodlands will accept bikes that need a small tune-up before finding their new home. Email us below to learn more. We’ll collect bikes and pass them on to our friends at Recycled Cycles of Texas for refurbishing, after which they’ll be passed on to riders who need new wheels.
Our next drive-thru event is Saturday 3/22 at The Woodlands Township 3R Recycling event. Otherwise, email us any time for help.
In spring 2021, Bike The Woodlands partnered with The Woodlands Township and Recycled Cycles of Texas to donate more than 20 refurbished abandoned bikes to the Interfaith Hand Me Up Shop.
Since then, we’ve been working to find ways to promote and support bike recycling in our community. We’d proudly collected more than 1,000 bikes and turned them into new and refurbished rides for people in need.
